We are finally getting more of the Green family and this book is a banging way to start. Imogen and Noah are old classmates, but agree to get married and stay married for a year so Noah's Grandpa can see him happy before he loses his faculties. Don't worry quite a few Callaghan's show up so it's like a little family reunion of sorts and you can see how everyone has been progressing in life. Beautiful wedding of convenience story!
I don't have high expectations for books like this, just want a nice easy, fun read! I feel cheated. The premise was interesting, you know what you're getting with these tropes, but my word the pacing was off. The two fall in love almost immediately, just the build up to the wedding took forever, and the "conflict" between them being a single fight near the end of the book?? It was completely pointless by then! What was the point in setting up this entire agreement for it to be scrapped by the wedding? Didn't even get to the year mark they talk about. Would have been far better for feelings to be there at the wedding and develop in their marriage gradually (what I thought would be the case!) Maybe I just prefer a slow burn, but the pacing meant you barely even got a chance to root for them before they were head over heels for each other. A very abrupt, unsatisfying ending sadly
I really, really liked this book. The only reason I didn't give it the whole 5 stars was because it felt like such a slow book. I had some trouble getting into the story because I felt like nothing was really happening and then all of the sudden the author gave a spin to it and the book started to come alive. I really totally fell in love with the characters, both leading as well as all the side characters. It was well written and I definitely enjoyed myself while reading it. It was a great storyline and I loved the tropes in it. Would I recommend it? Yes. Now on to book number 2.
4/5 stars.
4/5 stars.
I got this digital copy off Amazon for free, and you could definitely tell. I liked the idea of this book, but did not enjoy the book itself. Because apparently, having a lot of sex is enough to have a stable and healthy relationship (which is, by the way, not true). This is not worth your time.
It took me forever to get through because the MCs were horrendous, so I can't even really recall everything that happened anymore.
I just know that they had one answer to every question, and it was the physical kind. Nothing was resolved in any other way. Their relationship would have been much much much healthier had they just, I don't know, talked it through? But noooo. They were jumping each other like bunnies. Yuck.
I'm giving it the 1.5 star benefit of the doubt for the beginning, but otherwise this would have been a 1 star, easy.

This is Imogen and Noah’s story. She is fun, smart and sweet. We’ve met her in other Callaghan-Green books, taking a more important role each time. Now this is her love story. Noah is someone she knew from school, when she was a teen. They meet again by chance and go into an agreement to satisfy both parties. It’s all fun and excitement until a third player says something that makes Imogen doubt everything. There’s some chaos, but they work through it all and finally get their HEA.
I loved this story!! And now can’t wait for the next book in the series.

An enjoyable romcom with only minor misunderstandings. Will prolly end up reading the rest of the series at some point.

Cute lovestory, 3.5⭐️
Noah discovers his fiancé is only after his money and that she's cheating on him. Imogen is a lawyer at the lawfirm that Noah and his family uses. They also know eachother from when they were teenagers and went to the same school.
Noah's grandfather has dementia and want to see Noah get married while he still has some good days.
When Noah and Imogen meet up for a legal matter and they also catch up he tells her what happend and that he still want to get married while his grandfather is still alive Imogen suggets they get married. He gets his wedding with his grandfather there and she won't have to date anymore men her family and friends come up with.
But as you might understand feelings develop and their agreement turns in to more.
I liked the story even if it was a little predictable at times.

What I Liked:
1. Marriage of convenience - this may not be everyone’s favorite trope, but I don’t mind it. Granted their marriage of convenience was a little out of left field because the reasoning on either side wasn’t the most convincing but that’s okay. I still enjoyed it
2. Pacing - even though their engagement was really fast, I enjoyed the overall pacing of the story. I liked seeing the lead up to the wedding, the wedding, and life after the wedding. Each phase was different and interesting. I actually really liked the part after the wedding when the honeymoon phase (literally) ends and real life begins. Yes, living with a partner can be stressful. Even if you love each other, you’ll still argue and have disagreements, and get on each others nerves and I love that we got to see them be that type of couple. Leading up to the wedding, everything was happening so perfectly for them, which can be boring over time.
3. Noah and Imogen - honestly, I love a good friends to lovers stories. Granted they weren’t the best of friends but they were schoolmates so that’s close-ish. I really liked both of the main characters. I liked that Imogen was passionate about her career and independent. I liked that Noah was self-aware about his privilege and upbringing and not arrogant. I loved that family mattered to both of them and we actually got to see both sides of their family and the family dynamics. I also appreciated that they were good communicators. Yes there were a few misunderstandings, but it wasn’t anything crazy and they talked things out like adults rather than acting irrationally.
What I Didn’t Like:
1. The introduction of all the side characters - we’re introduced to so many people at the beginning of the book it’s a little overwhelming. Granted not many more are introduced after BUT it was hard to keep track of at first
2. The reasoning behind their marriage of convenience - i mentioned this earlier but the rationale for the marriage on either side is not super convincing.
