Beautiful and heartbreaking romance. This story was so well written that I was really emotional while reading some of these scenes. I loved these characters and even though my heart broke for everything they went through, I really loved this book. This is a top pick of 2018 for me and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Wow, what a remarkable story.

Even though Willow changes school in the middle of the senior year, she thinks of it as something good. She comes to Harmony to heal after a traumatic event. Full of secrets, without friends and with a family that doesn’t understand her she auditions for Hamlet to lose herself in the hundred-year-old words.

In school, she finds drawn to a town bad boy, Isaac. He’s the quiet boy that doesn’t talk much but is well known for his role in theater’s plays.

Isaac is broken too, in his own way. He sees something in Willow, something they have in common.

When they both get parts in Hamlet, they started to get to know each other and with that comes the secrets, the past and a wonderful story about two lost souls.

I truly recommend this well-written story because you will get lost in this story too. I read Hamlet in high school and I got to know more about the meaning of the words in this book. I was so pulled to the story, I cried at the end of it. It’s a story full of emotions, heartache but also love.

4,5 ”The love was there first” stars.

(I wanted to know more about Isaac’s story, why he didn’t talk for less than a year that’s why half star less…)

Ahh such an amazingly touching story by Ms Scott.
I devoured this book, I couldn't Put willow and Isaac down, they just kept speaking to me and pulling me back.
"I feel like I've waited my entire life for You, willow. I can wait a little longer"
this story has some touchy subject matter but it was tastefully written.
if you love Shakespeare then this book has those elements for you.
I volunteered to read a copy of this book

I've only read one other book by this author and while I enjoyed that one this one is probably my favorite by the author so far. Going into this I was expecting it to deal with some tough subject matter but I was also expecting it to be more of lighthearted book than it was. It was a lot more heartbreaking and anger inducing than I was expecting but still an enjoyable immersive read.

Both of the main characters have traumatic pasts and they deal with it in the only way they know how. I loved seeing both of these characters grow so much throughout the book. The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was how in the end it jumps ahead several years abruptly but it wasn't enough of a problem to lower my rating of it.

This author really knows how to rip your heart out and put it back together. You will go through so many emotions while reading this book and there are some major trigger warnings so look into that before picking this one up. I highly recommend reading this one if you haven't already.

Wow, that was so moving. I would give it 4.5 stars. The reason I'd take off half a point is because of the way the last 10% of the book felt a bit rushed. I would've liked to see that rounded out more but that being said it was so beautiful and it felt true to Willow.

I'm going to start by saying this is a beautiful story. It has many elements I like, such as forbidden love, different social statuses, a broken heroine, and a hero with a family issue. I loved that I could feel Isaac and Willow's feelings throughout the story.

However, my problem is the flow of the story. The author made it until the last minute for everything to be fixed. A lot of things happen in the last few chapters.

The breakup part between Isaac and Willow was predictable for me, which I think others can guess would happen too. Also, somehow, I don't like that Willow let her father and Xavier control her decision. They can easily read her weaknesses and use them against her.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book.

I wasn’t sold on this romance. Didn’t like and enjoyed it.
