This book seriously stressed me out. Great story, great twists but good grief these people didn't know how to communicate! I think it's fabulous that Colleen Hoover chose to portray a 17-year old as moody and unreasonable and rebellious. So many authors tend to paint things in such a way as to make the reader believe that they teenager is in the right and the adults in the wrong. This was refreshing in that way, although Clara was a serious pain. Honesty is always best and this story sure proves it with all the assumptions made by the characters.
The ending was fabulous with Chromaphobia. That was hilarious. Tanya Eby was great, Lauren Ezzo was good. But I didn't like the male voices they did - especially Ezzo's voices for Gramps and Miller. They just sounded a little cartoonish. Still, it wasn't enough to take away the enjoyment of the book. It was heartbreaking and frustrating and any story that evokes all those emotions is a good one.

Gosh, Colleen Hoover gets a bad rap from readers saying she’s “overrated” but every book I’ve read from her has brought me to tears! UGH I was SO MAD at every single one of the characters in this story, but then it all turned around into a heartwarming ending that made all the rage worth it. If you saw my face while reading this on a plane - don’t worry, I’m fine 😆

The betrayal was devastating!!!!
Truly heartbreaking and gave me feelings of melancholy and lost time.
A good quick read.
The mother is dealing with the loss of her husband, the lost of her little sister, a hormonal teenager, a nephew that survived his mothers passing, the ultimate betrayal and a missed love!!!
The daughter is also dealing withe loss of her father, the loss of her aunt(her second mother) while trying to meet an important deadline at school for a huge project and navigating her first love.
I hated this story (in a good way) threw the book against the wall!! several times!

CoHo does it for me again. This one riled up all of my emotions by the time it wrapped up. (Paperback)

To be honest, I never thought I'd be giving a Colleen Hoover book 5 stars. The books that I've read by her have really hurt me and triggered me with the toxic and abusive relationship that get idolized with in the romance book community and I can't get behind that.
Regretting You is not one of those books.
Words can't explain how happy I am that I randomly picked this book up on a whim. I lost my dad when I was 15 (close to the same age as Clara) and rebelled in almost the same exact ways out of grief. I was hurt. I was depressed. I just wanted the pain to go away and to feel happiness again. I can't express how much this book meant to me. This was 15 year old me to the T. It's really hard to lose a parent no matter what age you are but I think more so when you're a kid. The fact that I could see myself in Clara was amazing and something that I can probably go back and reread for years.
I felt like Hoover was telling my story. This entire book was the like the aftermath of my own father's death <-- which also helps me relate to the story more...though I obviously enjoyed Morgan's story more.
I'll recommend this book to anyone. Especially if they lost a parent or a spouse. It hits you to the core and it makes me relive memories that I don't mind remembering. I don't mind looking back into the past and seeing my dad and remember all of the great memories that I have with them however I DO mind looking back at remembering all of the times that I was in an abusive and toxic relationship. I can get behind Hoover's books if the romance stops going in those directions.
On that note, Jonah and Miller are the perfect love interests and that is no exaggeration. They are exactly the type of partner anyone would want to be with. They're patient and kind and understanding and they LOVE YOU through it all. They're always there. They're always listening. They always pull you into a hug before you even know that you need one.
Read this book. Grieve with Morgan and Clara. Read their story. You won't regret it.
Thank you Colleen for showing me a glimpse into my life that I want to remember forever.

except the whole my dad having an affair thing... but my mom did end up with my dad's best friend a few months after the funeral and they're still together 13 years later.I'll recommend this book to anyone.
