This had no business being as good as it was. It had a bit of a Sookie Stackhouse novel vibe but Mera is in on the supernatural world from the get-go. I look forward to where it goes and enjoy the writing. So far this is way more in depth and well done than a lot of the cookie cutter paranormal romances with similar covers. Maybe the old adage about those -is- true.
