I absolutely loved this one the most recently. At 250 pages it is an easy read and beautifully illustrated throughout. Devoured it. It’s kind of a ghost story with a twist. Finn is stuck in the inbetween… Between life & death. His grandfather keeps coming to help him pass through to the other side but he has to figure out why he died, who did it before he is happy.
Along the way he meets Isabella another ghost in the inbetween and they become friends while he helps her solve her death too. It’s a brilliant story that highlights the importance of life. How fear can literally kill you and the importance of friends and family. They’re busy teleporting to their friends, family, school & death spots to get all the answers they need while having a bit of fun here and there. Being a ghost has its advantages.
Life’s too short. Highly recommend. One that will stick with me for a while. Powerful. Emotional in parts. A well deserved four stars from me.

Super impressed with the overall arc of this story.... I kept waiting for a major twist (which did, in fact, come in the epilogue), but I was impressed that the authors hung with the complicated topics of fear and death. At times, I was bothered by the other characters' reactions to Finn's death, and I do wish that Finn's grandfather would have had a more prominent and nuanced presence in the story. However, the authors kept everything light enough for a older elementary student to process.... these types of books are usually reserved for middle/high schoolers, but younger kids could benefit so much from exposure to these intense storylines (i.e. death). I also enjoyed the overall message of enjoying the small moments in life. I can see this one being really popular with my 4th/5th graders, and there is certainly a lot to discuss. Would be a good book club selection.

One minute, Finn was biking home from school, and the next, he was run off the road by a maniac in a big van. Now, he's a ghost. He can do lots of fun things, like try every ice cream flavor in the store, sneak up on people, and play as many video games as he wants. Finn even has a new ghost friend, Isabella, to show him the ropes. But he also has a lot of BIG questions, like: who wanted him dead. can he stop the maniac from striking again.

Story has hilarious moments, epic friendships, and fun art, Best Nerds Forever celebrates the nerd in each of us and the joy of living life to its fullest. Finn and Isabella take a journey to find the murderer and put him behind bars and later when she was helping Isabella and friends they had some good time. And suddenly when same thing happens again Finn came to know that it was accident and not murder and same with Isabella but her parents didn't find her body so they help them find it where she fall , but climax came the best that they were in coma by accident and both are saved and they are in hospital when wake up from dream.

It was rains that make this story as accident happened in a monsoon rain.

Reading 2021
Book 57: Best Nerds Forever by James Patterson

What would a month be without a YA read.? This is one of two James Patterson books I read in May.

Finn is a middle school boy who is run off a cliff while riding his bike. Now dead, he must deal with his unfinished business before he can move on. Finn tries to solve the mystery of his death and along the way meets a girl, who is also dead, trying to solve her death. Finn watches the grief of his family and friends as he also takes advantage of being a ghost.

This was a cute story, though it is shrouded in sadness. A boy dead before his time, a family weighed down with grief, friends that a having a hard time moving on without their friend, and a new friend who cannot remember what happened to her. Reviewed for ages 10 and older, I would be sure that it would not be too sad a book for a kid to read. 4⭐️.
