Still don't know how I feel about this series. This book was better then the first.
Kristen Ashley has done it again. Holy hotness Batman! This book literally melted my panties. While I enjoyed The Deep End (book one) I absolutely loved this one. There are a lot of feels in this book that caught me off guard. I’ve ended up in tears with many of Ashley’s books; I just didn’t expect to end up in tears with this one. I thought, hey it’s erotica it’ll just get me all hot and bothered. Nope this book made me feel and feel hard.
If you’ve read The Deep End, you’ve heard about Evangeline. She got the raw end of the deal in a scene that went bad. Since then she’s been guarded, checked out of the life, and she while she wants to reconnect with friends—the life isn’t something she’s expecting to return to. Her friend and club owner Aryas, though, he knows just how to tempt her. Branch is enigmatic, extremely private, and an alpha to the core. He’s brooding, assertive, and unapologetic. She’s sweet, determined, and ready to fight for him. The chemistry between these two is so fucking hot. Both Branch and Evangeline are extremely well-written, well-developed, and complex.
This book has its drama but it’s so skillfully woven into the story that it’s not glaring or over-the-top. While I know that The Deep End has set her fan on opposite sides of the series, I think this is one that all fans can really enjoy. Since most of the info dump about the club and how it works took place in book one, The Farthest Edge is almost purely about the relationship between Branch and Evangeline. And besides the fact that Branch likes to submit, it is very much like her other stories.
If you haven’t given this series a try, I highly recommend it especially this book. If you’re an Ashley fan, definitely one-click it.

Back to the Honey we go.
I am not going to lie, I did have my issues with the first book in this series, The Deep End, It was good, but I had some problems with it.
However I said when I finished it that I would be reading the following books.
And I am so glad that I jumped right onto this one
The Farthest Edge felt more likea KA book to me. Whereas the first book had a LOT of sex which took away from the storyline (for me), The Farthest Edge, whilst still having the sex and the BDSM, this was more in the background.
If you have read the first book, you have met Evangeline and Branch.
Oh how I love this broken, struggling pair. They are living, but they aren't living. I adore how they are with each other, what they are to each other, what they do for each other.
Seriously, they are all kinds of goodness.
I adored getting more of Amelie and her Olly, seeing how their relationship has progressed.
This book is sweet and sexy. Gritty. Throw in a quick snapshot of an old favourite character of mine, and I was a goner.
I really, really enjoyed The Farthest Edge - now I can't wait to see what Ms Ashley brings us next.

This was so good. I hope we get Stellan's full story.
This book begins with Angie and Branch meeting but things not going so well. Angie is not going to give up though, and she gets what she wants, and what she wants is Branch.
Branch is a man with a past, and it's not so great in his eyes. He also feels like he can never give Angie anything more than what they will have and that's not much. Angie is going to take it all and more though, no matter what Branch thinks.
This book was really good, and I enjoyed it a lot better than the first one. I loved Branch and Angie together, even though at times Branch frustrated me. But I loved that Angie was the one who did her best to get Branch and keep him instead of the other way around like it is in most of KA's books! This one was a breath of fresh air and I adored it!
I loved the plot line and I really loved the characters, and I can't wait to read more in this series.

What to say about The Farthest Edge. Well, I loved it. I went into it with a little trepidation after The Deep End, which I did enjoy but some how just kind of missed the mark, but it is like Kristen Ashley found her way with these two characters. There was no longer the unsure feeling in the words, the 'scenes' were smooth and tied wonderfully into the story. The Alpha-Sub, which is who these books are really all about, really shined through in this one. Branch's two sides were so evenly matched that he came across as much more believable and Evangeline, well she knew exactly how to work him.
The Farthest Edge is a story of two people who have removed themselves from the world, who are essentially lost and no longer living, just ghosting (Branch a bit more literally than Evangeline) through life. It is the story of how through patience, understanding, and ultimately love they bring peace to each other and allow each other to open themselves fully to their family, friends, and most importantly one another.
I loved that as opposed to Amélie and Olivier's showiness, with Branch and Evangeline we get a soft, quiet, private couple. Don't get me wrong there is nothing terrible about putting it all out on display if that's what you want to do and or see but it was nice to go from one side to the other in these two books. It gives a total different feel which as a reader we are grateful for, you don't want the same book over and over.
As with all Kristen Ashley books, she excels in story telling, in crafting a believable while still outlandish story that will have you flipping pages and gripping your e-books. I love that she stays true to that in these stories. As a reader of all genres I have read a number of erotica/BDSM books in the past and sadly more often than I would like I find the books to be jus one 'scene' after another, the substance lacking to make room for more 'steamy' moments and while those books can be a quick enjoyable read the best kind is one that is based on a believable story, with a relatable couple, and has the steamy moments woven through out and Kristen Ashley hit it perfectly with this one.
I am really looking for more from this series, I have so many questions about all the different players and I can't wait to find out what happens next. I loved that Amélie and Olivier were involved in this story as well as several of the other characters we got to know in The Deep End with the addition of a new character that I am really curious to see if something happens with.
Keep in mind this is a BDSM storyline and one that Kristen Ashley has taken a chance with since it isn't your typical dynamic. You may be a huge Kristen fan but this may not be the series for you and that's okay. Make sure you know what you are going into before you get there though. This book is an Erotica, it is a balance between the Hero being a Sub and an Alpha male, while the Heroine is the Domme with the ability to understand the Alpha in the Hero. There is a beautiful story but there is also sex, sex that may not be within your comfort zone. If you find that this story isn't for you but you love a good romance let me suggest any of Kristen Ashley's other books, she is an amazing author who has taken a huge leap with this series and you will find it to be a really great series if you know what you are about to read and you go in with an open heart and mind!
