Absolutely horrifying, scariest book I’ve ever read, will never read again (and honestly had to skip a couple sections), but completely gripping. Finished in one sitting.

Genuinely one of the most horrific books I’ve read. Mostar causally picking up Vincent’s head that Sasquatch had lobbed at over the fence to taunt them, awful (definitely gives a lot of insight into her prior experiences with war violence). Most of Vincent’s death scene made me queasy. Honestly if you’re looking at book for characters to surprise you with growth this is a great one.

Fun read! Creepy as it gets going. I looked up from reading yesterday and realized my internet was out and my phone dead. I was cut off just like the town in the book. Just as scary as the Sasquatch!

I highly recommend the audiobook! Great cast of readers including Kate Mulgrew (Captain Katherine Janeway forever), Nathan Fillion, Judy Greer, Jeff Daniels, Max Brooks himself, and others.
