This story is so heartbreakingly beautiful. I love a good military romance, and this one did not disappoint. I felt every single emotion while listening to this, I laughed, I got angry, and I cried, and I enjoyed every single moment of it. I felt so deeply for every single character, and even though there’s some not so pretty parts, I think it ended just like it was supposed to. The narrators did such an amazing job bring the characters to life, and portraying the emotions of the characters so beautifully. I would recommend going in blind. Highly recommend.

So many feels. Such a great story about PTSD and the angst was all over the place. The book was super face paced and left me guessing constantly with which way it was going to turn. I felt for each and every character in this book and I hurt for them.

This book haunts me...

I put off reading it because I knew, I just knew it would absolutely destroy me. If Kate Stewart is a part of it my heart will be in shreds.

Powerful book on how trauma changes you. Traumatic events - sharing a trauma bond and then trying to return to normal life after. The journey, pain and work it takes to heal.

I don't want to give any spoilers away so I won't but take breaks if you need to while reading this one. Have tissues handy and prepare yourself to be gutted.

I went in completely blind, only knowing that this book has received high praise on social media and has been on my radar for quite some time. 

I have not read a lot of military romance, so this was a refreshing change for me; it was full of angst and heartbreak for Katy (Scottie), Briggs & Gavin. Heartbreak Warfare is complex, messy and true to life. I felt for all the characters, gripped by the story until I stayed up all night to finish. Heartbreak Warfare is absolutely a book I will reread, making it worthy of my 5 / 5 Star rating.

Oh wow this was a really tough book. The writing was really compelling once I settled into the story - although I’m not sure settled is the right word for the subject matter.

And I really didn’t know who I was backing throughout. I completely understand where both Gavin and Briggs were coming from because they both fell in love with one woman. Briggs knew she was married but aside from his outrageous flirting he never actually crossed a line with her.

Katy though… fuck was she frustrating for so much of the
