Thoughts-
I have been meaning to pick up this book for the longest time, since the beginning of 2020. I never got around to it until recently. I enjoy the premise of this book alot, I enjoyed the world, the magical powers, AND THE ROMANCEEEEE. Considering how many bookd their are I just know i am going to sed a couple of tears. I thought this was a solid first installment, it kept me engaged and it was definitely a page turner. I felt like something important happend every chapter and the stakes just kept getting higher and higher. I thought the world in general is unique and easy to follow along. For this to be considered YA I think is a far stretch to me this reads new adult since it does deal with mature topics. I liked Yarl’s character and I like the path she is headed in right now. I loev the romance between the two main characters I thought it was so sweet and so diffferent from what i’ve read. I felt he knew how to communicatr and one thing I love is a protective MMC and he is JUST THAT!!! Overall I thought it was solid and im intrigued enough to continue the series !!

Se ha convertido automáticamente en uno de mis favoritos. Cumple muchos aspectos que me gustan de estas novelas: protagonista femenina que se va descubriendo a una misma, otros personajes potentes, una trama política por detrás que se deja entrever y que aumentará en siguientes entregas, magia y muy bien detallado. Me he sumergido desde la primera página en su historia.
Lo que más me ha gustado es que, aunque sean temáticas de magia y fantasía juvenil, parece que lo ves llegar a donde llegan todos y de repente te sorprende con un final genial. Muchas ganas de leer el segundo.

Mind-blowing and I love the fact that she is represented as a strong woman, who doesn't coward away from men (the senate).

Fun magical adventure about a girl discovering she has powers.
As an easy romantasy you can mentally shut off to, it's a fun book. Not a particularly strong series or one I'd recommend as I'm getting the impression that the author doesn't really know how to handle her cast of characters who aren't involved in the central romance. The world doesn't feel fully fleshed out as literally every character is orbiting around Vhalla and Aldrick and either actively trying to help their relationship or hinder it.
