Hmmm. I have owned this book forever and never read it, and have definitely aged out of it. This trilogy definitely was written as one long book that the publisher divided up, and it’s painfully obvious. Add to that the rather ridiculous and over the top love interest alongside the antagonist present in the cousin/aunt combo and I just think it was a little too much. I will give the book super props for an awesome bff relationship portrayal though. I bet 15 year old me would have loved this though.
