Why was that ending so fricking funny?! For the whole book this poor woman was treated like absolute trash just to end up bantering like that with someone she called "the madman" 😂 I'm sorry but that was fabulous
I will definitely be devouring the rest of these just as soon as I'm done binge reading all the other ARCs that I'm supposed to be reading 😏
Only one thing annoyed me and that was the way everyone spoke. And that's not to say it wasn't done superbly but I just personally wasn't a fan of it because sometimes it just meant I couldn't get a proper read on some of the characters, but hopefully I get used to it as the series progresses

Okay so everything happened within the last 100-150 pages!
The plot felt forced and the connections between the plot and characters didn't come naturally to me either. The characters were a bit bland too. Also, the plot itself is so cliche and the writing at times felt very much year 6 or year 7 level (particularly with the world building and when talking about Alizeh's abilities). The "romance" was also so weird like these two barely knew each other c'mon now.
I won’t be reading the next book anytime soon.
