Honestly reminded me of thinner but less offensive and just all together fairly confusing and boring.
An extremely easy read for a basic kind of story. There was a shroud of mystery you would except from a Stephen King story, but nothing that’s going to be talked about.
I enjoyed the story as a whole the way Scott was just...elevated through the entire ordeal. His main heroism was in his accidental actions to bring people together and open their minds.
Story reminds me of people that remain optimistic and how one action can ripple outwards and through others. This effect would affect others on a greater scale.

This is a bittersweet, heartwarming novella without any semblance of horror so I don’t understand the classification at all. Although worlds different than anything else I’ve read by King, his narration and the themes of connection, openness, and respect make it worthwhile if not especially memorable.
