This is my most anticipated book of all time. I cannot believe I have to wait in agonizing pain to find out how this ends for a year.

You better not do Wren dirty I stg.

Update: While I enjoyed the first book much more this was a satisfying ending. I wish wren was in the book more. And she did wren very not dirty. She's a powerhouse now lol.

Listened through audible.
Started off really really underwhelming. Almost enjoyed Wrens perspective more.
I think I struggling with the voice for Oak, found it a little too AI sounding?
But the end picked up and made up for a lot of it.
Really Really enjoyed having Jude and Cardan back in action.

it’s been a while since reading the other elfame novels, so initially i forgot a lot of the characters and plot points. but i pushed through, and holly black’s writing is very great at reminding you gently what’s already happened, guiding to the right direction/conclusion. for that i am grateful, and enjoyed this continuation of that little fantasy world. nothing too crazy, but just enough drama and funky magic.
