I fell in love with Lia and Jude instantly. This one night stand, accidental pregnancy, sports romance made me swoon.
Lia and Jude had one night stand and from that comes a beautiful surprise that will tie them together, but both of them are struggling with the past that brought them where they are today but love is weaving its way in.

This has nothing to really do with the book and these aren’t real people, but it does bother me when people give a child a first name, only to not use it. It’s such a hassle.

Love These Women.

It seems I have changed my mind…again. Or maybe it’s because Claire and Lia are twins but I loved this book as much as the second one. It could also be because of the whole family dynamic, these Ward girls and their brother Logan have such an amazing bond. Each of the sisters is mature for her age, and not many could deal with a parental death as well as abandonment as these do. Logan and his wife Paige can take most of the accolades, but I feel the sisters have helped each other just as much. And it’s why, when Lia is abroad in London, she can be level headed and steer her and Jude into a better place.

Unfortunately for Jude, his own upbringing wasn’t as loving or supportive. His brother Lewis is the middleman in trying to mend fences in that family but it’s not easy. Sometimes the risk of loosing something more precious helps to rectify mistakes from the past.

At first you think Jude is a carefree, fun loving football ⚽️ player, then the book progresses and he is deeper and more sensitive. He’s completely swoon worthy and a romantic, and that made me smile a lot.
I’m glad Lia has found a man who’s dependable and loyal like her brother and that he will do anything for her and the baby.

I’m not sure if I’m sad or excited to head into the last of the Ward sisters books. Isabel is literally going to kick butt in this next tale.

Ehhhhhhhhh

Oh, man :( I so wanted to like this book.
Karla had Lia and Finn's friends-to-lovers story and instead chose a soccer player who gets you accidentally pregnant from a one-night stand storyline?! Nooooooooooo.
As great as she is at romance asking her to properly fake a British guy was a bit too much.

This was another solid offering from this author! Lia is studying abroad and she is missing home and her family. On the advice of her twin sister, she decides to let loose a little and goes to a local pub. She meets Jude there and has a great time with him. Little does she know that he is a famous foot baller. Their one night together has consequences for both of their lives. Can they make a life together or is it over before it even gets started? What a great read!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

I just love the Ward family and the love and support they have for each other. They’re one of my absolute favorite fictional families.

This book has a lot fun dialogue and banter, it’s got a wonderful, supporting family juxtaposed against one that is not so loving and supportive. There’s a lot of emotional baggage these characters must deal with, and it’s well-written.

However, while I liked Jude and Lia, I didn’t feel the undeniable, soulmate connection between the two of them. I wondered if they would have ended up together without their surprise baby.

Disclaimer: This book was tough for me to read, but it was absolutely a case of ‘it’s not the book, it’s me.’ As someone who has dealt with recurrent pregnancy loss, stories that center on pregnancies - whether they be surprise pregnancies, secret babies, or HEA’s that focus on babies - are emotionally difficult. I chose to read this one anyway, because I love the Wards and Sorenson’s work so much. Sorensen did an excellent job of detailing Lia’s surprise pregnancy from doctors appointments and the first heartbeat to regular produce-size comparisons, to the birth itself. This attention to detail is what makes Sorensen one of my favorite authors, but it’s also, ultimately, one reason I struggled a bit with this book.

I enjoyed this book, even if sometimes I didn’t quite understand the heroine’s perceptions of the emotional issues in this book. I’ll probably go back and read the previous books about this family too.

I thought this book was alright however I just didn't connect with the characters and the plot.
