so disappointed because I was waiting for her book since forever, but this was boring, maybe it’s the one night stand trope or maybe it’s me, but their relationship is so rushed and nothing happens besides her pregnancy.
I loved the family moments tho and I loved the baby, that’s why i’m giving it 3 stars

Two and done.

I…didn’t enjoy this one as much as Claire’s.
The overly codependent dysfunctional family played too heavy a roll.
Lia and Jude were pretty okay.
It wasn’t insta-love and I enjoyed that they took their time.
To be honest…the entire family needs therapy. Lots of therapy.
The overbearing parental figures, especially Paige…ruined what could have been a sweet story.
But hey, if forgiving toxicity is your jam, then this one is for you.
I don’t think I’ll continue with the series as I do not enjoy their family dynamics one bit.

So out of all the Ward sisters I think this story might be the lowest on my ranking but it was still a cute read. As unpopular as the trope may be to some, I LOVE a well executed accidental preggers trope. I love the drama, the panic, the fumbling through the ‘what is this’ stage, love it all! ….when it’s done well.

I feel like some of that execution was lacking for me. I felt like Lia was so much more into the relationship for so much longer than Jude was and I really don’t like that he missed so much of her actual pregnancy. I would have rated higher and probably enjoyed more if there wasn’t such a strong separation during the months where her belly was tripling in size and she was quite literally growing their child…like huh? I get the soccer/fútbol angle to an extent but that was my only real gripe with the story and for me it was a little bit of a dealbreaker.

On the more positive side, I loved seeing Lia’s journey in academia! im not studying the Brontes or English literature in any form but I am in school working towards my Masters in a different field and I felt a kindred spirit in her. I also struggle with figuring out ‘what I want to be when I grow up’ question and being able to see past the hustle of actually getting your degree. It’s such a hard thing to understand unless you’ve been in that position before but I never had something like doctor/lawyer/ect to dream abt. My path has been a more uncertain one in terms of career…I am absolutely in LOVE with my major and love being a student but the big girl future that will be here soon is still very scary. My mom calls it my Peter Pan Syndrome cause I’m not ready to grow up past where I am yet haha. So I really connect to Lia’s character in that way.

Overall, a happy ending, a cute new baby in the Ward clan, and a grand gesture at the end that was pretty sweet (I love anyone that sees their own faults and seeks help for that).

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5

Well, now I have to go back and read the rest of this series.

A unique and interesting surprise pregnancy book. Unlike some books where the pregnancy is hidden, these characters deal with that part immediately. But they have a lot of challenges to overcome in order to make things work. It really does seem plausible that they don't end up together, but I don't read books like THAT, so I was intrigued with how they were going to get to their HEA.

While there is a lot of drama, it doesn't feel contrived or overdone. Apart from Jude's pro-athlete career, these are just people with fairly common family complications. A few tears were shed, but it was definitely a great read!

Loved this continued story line about the Ward siblings.

Lia is the focus of this one, and the twin is spending time in a study abroad program. While in London, she hops into a bar, starts talking Football with the guy next to her, and ends up spending the night with him.

She has no idea he's a starting player on the "football" (soccer) team, and he has no clue she's from an American football family. The one night leads to additional conversations, and a surprise addition. You get snippets of the Ward family, with Claire mostly, family drama (mostly his), and finally a HEA.

Found the plot quite unique and realistic. The story-telling style made it easy to read.

This book is really short and the ending was just super quick and didn’t make a ton of sense to me.
