Ah! Jude and Lia. I loved them! One night stand, amazing chemistry, accidental pregnancy, family trauma, it was all so good! I loved how easy they fell for each other and also the effort both have to make to work on themselves! Such a great read with amazing narrators!

4.5★ jude and logan ‼️

4.5 stars!

I can't remember why I downloaded this from KU, maybe a podcast mentioned it? Well, whatever the reason, I'm glad I did. Lia is in Oxford for a term writing a paper for her Masters and meets Jude in a bar in London on a rainy evening after a day of homesickness and sightseeing. She ha no idea that he's a famous footballer and he has no idea that she comes from an American football family. One thing leads to another and... well, yup. It's an "oops, I'm pregnant!" moment. (That is not a spoiler, that's in the blurb.) Lia and Jude have to work out this new complication while dealing with their feelings for each other and their own demons. Both of these characters are flawed and acknowledge their flaws, while trying to find a future for themselves. Both characters' inability to stay in one place and talk when things got tough was what brought it down a star, but their acknowledgement of their flaws and need to talk about it after brought it back up a half star. I think I'll be going back to read the previous books!

Cute

Lia had a really cute story with her surprise pregnancy by the hot British footballer. I loved how after absorbing the news, that Jude really came around in supporting Lia in anyway she needed while she was in London. I also really loved seeing the rest of the Ward's rally around Lia even from across the ocean. I'm excited to move onto Isabel's story next.
