I enjoyed reading it but I also don’t feel like I got anything from it, either. Coincidentally this is how I often feel about art in museums — a “wow, cool!” but I’m rarely moved by what I see.

Perhaps the multiple POVs prevented me from truly feeling what each character felt.

i loved this!! the characters felt layered and i loved how everyone was connected to each other in some way. yes it felt a little pretentious at times with all the art talk but not so much that i felt left out, just the right amount of pretentiousness.

at the beginning i had such a clear prediction of what was going to happen, i thought it would just be a slow burn, maybe a drunken hookup at some point where they end up feeling awkward about each other for a while and then a late-chapter confession, but the winter showcase thing was such a left turn for me (which i appreciated, i’m glad it wasn’t predictable).

i throughly enjoyed this. an insight into the art world set in a nostalgic time period for me (early 2010s). i really loved how the author wove the stories of the four main characters together. it was great!

Mostly about art and capitalism which is a really interesting topic. If I’d read it faster I would have loved it more. Queer stories are represented really beautifully which is nice but due to each chapter having a shift in perspective there was the potential for the sensation of incongruency in the plot
