Will read all of Jasmine Guillory’s books. Characters are smart and interesting and storylines are real and fun.

I couldn’t put it down! Guillory’s writing style brings so much emotion into every character interaction. Lots of tears (happy and sad) by the end of the book.

Definitely one of the most fun hetero romance novels I've read. And it's so lovely to be reading a romance that ISN'T steeped in weird, outdated gender stereotypes or an obsession with masculine/feminine dichotomies. The passion between Alexa and Drew is evident and believable, the emotional arcs make sense, and the side characters don't just feel like weird cardboard cutouts. I especially enjoyed reading an interracial romance! More diversity and modern sensibilities in romance novels, please!

The main characters of this book need to learn how to communicate. They're thirty-somethings, why are they acting like little kids 50% of this book? The first part, the actual 'wedding date', is cute. Not the best way I've seen the fake-dating trope executed, but it was a cute read. The problem is the literal 75% of the book after the wedding date. At this point they're already together. Why??? Reading about them going back and forth on planes and communicating like 4 year olds was not enjoyable at all. It was definitely an easy read though and I really enjoyed the way the dual perspective was written. Also, these people were eating constantly, I'm not kidding when I say it was multiple times a chapter and always something fastfood-y. This didn't really have a huge impact on the book, but it definitely stood out to me.
