I did really enjoy Freakonomics and found very interesting the authors' description of their way of thinking. This is a lower quality version of the original.
I liked the book. My favorite parts were about the IV scientists and their ingenious solutions to world problems, especially the hose to the sky. I didn't care for the economics of prostitution section. Who cares? They could have used some other example to get their economic point across. I'm sure they just included it for shock value and to get "certain" people interested in reading their book. (Why else would it be in the title?) Did I like it better than the first? I don't know. I think I like them the same. It was okay. The 20/20 special might have been better or just as good.

Key Takeaway: All economic decisions have externalities. The fun lies in finding them.

I enjoyed the first book more than this one. I think that the topics in the original just appealed to me more. The prostitute section was the most interesting, and while I learned a lot about global warming, the other topics just didn't interested me as much as those covered in Freakonomics. Still, I look forward to the next one and what they'll find to write about then.

Interesting snippets on many different topics.
I love these guys! I especially enjoyed the sections on car seats, global warming, and monkey prostitution.

More real world relevant than the first but lacking in some depth of data on occasion.
I loved their first book, I love their second one. Still thought provoking. Still very very interesting. It's awesome to see the world turned right-side out with the careful use of interesting data. I hate to sound cliche, but their work really did change the way I think. (Here's to hoping the change stays put.)
I loved Freakanomics. While this book is interesting it was not as good as the first book. I have heard the arguements that the first book was entertainment and not economics but I felt it made some interesting points. This book touches more on current arguements but,in my opinion, less in depth. Still a very enjoyable read and thought provoking book.
