I didn't review this because I didn't have many thoughts, but this was a GREAT READ
I feel like it would be predictable for people who have read a lot of mysteries or thrillers, but this one kept me interested enough that I listened to it until 3 am─and that says a lot, because I don't like to lose sleep
I also enjoyed the way this was written. despite most of it being inside a car, it had enough happening that it didn't feel boring or dragged out. I also liked the ending giving even more context to everything
would definitely recommend it to someone that wants a fast paced book!!

imo her other book was better than this one but no place left to hide still kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot twists were predictable for the most part and it felt really unrealistic but for a thriller it was still awesome. i started out rooting for brooke but then hated her 75% of the way through. honestly i cannot wait for megan lally's third thriller coming out in 2026. if you're looking for a good ya thriller then you should read this book and that's not my name.
