Some of the sentences felt right but some do not. This is the first series that I got frustrated with especially this book because of NICK YES YOU SAW RIGHT, NICK. For a mysterious guy to tell all of his feelings is just unbelievable and the acceptance of happenings especially the deaths are not emphasized. I mean they're teens, having a person's finger chopped could give me a heart attack well how about a person dying and having to dance with seconds before like wtf. And the end is just agh, why you do that to nick seriously. But well, this is an easy read so I'll let this slide. Bye

The story just keeps on getting better and I just love everyone's bond. The ending was so cute I can't wait for the next one.

So far this must be the best book of the series till now. The story develops nicely and the action becomes more frequent..... Also, I really want to punch Faye!
What put me off on this book was its ending... too wiccan for my taste.

Spoiler to follow.

Ok, when I said too wiccan..... I was expecting an epic battle with loads of magic and spells.... and instead they simply chanted "I have the power of the leaf, the power of the dew, the power of the stars"??? Seriously??? That's how you destroy the evil and powerful sorcerer????
Even Sailormoon is tougher than this!

What a fun book, I love that these kids would all be older than me today. Walkmans and beepers, it really brings me back. But there is a sort of timelessness that makes it readable today. The story was very simple and some things really take an extension of the suspension of disbelief. But it was just fun.

I liked the three book series when it was first published. It was really good and the characters weren't all alcoholics and self centered kids like the show made them.

Now I don't know if the author is using the show to sell more books, but if she keeps writing the characters like CW they'll turn into a bunch of alcoholics. Take an AA section writers before you make these kids worse. But as it happens the show was canceled.

When I read the original three books in the 90's I related to the characters. I also enjoyed the way the author made witchcraft a fantasy. She made it black and white and unrealistic to allow the magick to be a background character.

I enjoyed and remembered this three book series more than her vampire four books
