I enjoyed the first book of this series, but I feel like this one rushed through the actual time travel parts and instead gave a lot of information about the rules and back stories of the characters. The first short story got me emotional, but not enough to keep my interest to see how the last story ends.

this one got me i’ll admit. however my one criticism is that the author overexplains plot points which gets on my nerves a little bit. not sure if it’s just a poor translation from japanese, but i’d think not, since it usually comes in the form of a few sentences that kind of like re-describe what just happened. seems unnecessary.
⭐⭐⭐.7/5
Even when we lose someone we love deeply, we still have to keep living. Not out of obligation, but because it brings comfort to those who’ve passed. It’s a beautiful reminder that choosing to live with intention and joy is a way of keeping their memory alive. That idea really stayed with me.
What I loved most is how all the characters are connected; even if those links are subtle. At first, their stories feel separate, but as things unfold, you start to see how their lives gently overlap. It’s never forced or obvious, but those quiet connections make everything feel more meaningful and whole.
There were moments when I wasn’t totally sure where the story was going, but as I kept reading, things became clearer. It’s like a puzzle that clicks into place the deeper you go. Overall, it’s a really heartwarming read. I felt a whole mix of emotions—grief, warmth, peace, even hope. If you liked the first book or are into thoughtful, emotional stories with a quiet kind of magic, I definitely recommend this one.

This one felt much more longer than the previous one but tbh it was more...comfy in a sense. I feel like it was more focused on Kazu this time and her mother as a side story between all the others. Also Miki soo cutee and it's so fun to see her constantly annoy Nagare tho I miss all the old characters a bit (not Fumiko). Is it just me or is the amount of K names the author uses a bit too much?
