A sweet and heartfelt sequel to 'Before the coffee gets cold' adding some depth to the cafe and it's staff while following the stories of four new customers. An at times very sad but overall hopeful exploration of our relationships with each other, and particularly the search for closure after these relationships end. Easy to read but touching on deep ideas. The repeated exploration of the rules of time travel can be overly repetitive but also acts as an almost meditative mantra as it frames each new trip to the past/future.
