Disappointing. Book "jumps the shark" about 60% of the way through. Its like the author got to the "end" and realized he needed more and wrote a completely different book.
Okay, first of all, this is a very long book. However, it was quite engaging. I usually forgo books with spies and government, but I received this in a Goodreads giveaway. I was surprised how much I was into it and wanted to finish. I will say, about 3/4 of the way through it, it gets really quite weird and goes off the rails some. Kinda doesn't match the beginning of the book. But, all in all, a good read.

I had such high hopes and I’m so disappointed. What on earth was this? The way it was written was really strange and the sudden shift into sci-fi was exceptionally weird. And the time travelling and hairless ratmen… no. Didn’t work. Was skimming it by the end. So disappointing considering how good I am Pilgrim was! 650+ pages of average plot, poor writing and a really obnoxious main character.
