I loved the narration. The story was told from the perspectives of all characters involved. In this way, the side characters felt complex and real, instead of simply being there to support the main characters. At times, it was difficult to keep track of all the story lines that resulted from this, but that’s fine because those are not the most relevant to the story of Cleo and Frank. It was an interesting book, full of life and emotions. Nevertheless, I have to say that the emotions remained abstract for me - I read and understood them but did not feel them.

Coco Mellor's Cleopatra and Frankenstein was a refreshing look into the everyday lives of NYC. The characters were diverse and relatable, even though I can't really relate to Upper East Side life. Mellors has a unique way of writing; you can tell she isn't some Wattpad romance writer who just so happens to get a publisher's deal. I loved diving into a plethora of characters, therefore, seeing situations from all over the place and from multiple perspectives. I'd definitely recommend this book!

overall i enjoyed the premise. however i felt that some of the character development felt half-finished at best. Especially pertaining to frank (by the way i hate him)

anything and everything you would ever expect from a Y/A book. gave me that ‘devouring a book by the pool’ summer feeling. would get anyone out of a reading slump
