Honestly, it’s a very interesting take on every day life. I think it shows how “Cleopatra” and “Frankenstein“ are both monsters and victims.  It shows that no matter how hard you try, no matter how much you love each other, sometimes relationships are sometimes bad or toxic. It makes you think about how you view or judge people and reflect on where the problem truly lies. Definitely worth a read. The book does drag on sometimes, but that’s just part of its charm.

The author made me relate to people I wouldn't think I'd be able to relate to. She has a smart wit and poignant observance that makes me appreciate all the small interactions in life.

What an excellent story! It captured so perfectly what it feels like finding the wrong person at the right time. Or maybe they were the right person for each other after all?
I feel like Cleo and Frank needed each other to finally get better. Even though it nearly destroyed them.
I cherished their story so much as well as all the little glimpses we got into the lives of the side characters. I loved each and every one of them (esp. Santiago and Eleanor‘s mum). All the struggles that were portrayed in the book felt so organic and real and I was often moved to tears because I felt so deeply for the characters.

Can totally recommend reading this book, you can just tell how much hard work was put into this story! And the hard work really pays off!
