As someone who absolutely devoured the Dalton and Spade series, I was beyond excited to dive into Marni Mann’s new Weston Group saga. The Arrogant One introduces a fresh set of characters, but true to Marni’s signature style, she weaves in familiar faces from her earlier books.

The plot is engaging, with just the right amount of tension and emotional depth. And yes, the spice is definitely present at that perfect Marni level, steamy, but not overdone. She's got such a knack for balancing heat with heart.

I especially loved Sadie’s sass, she brought so much bold energy to the story, and Lockhart (Hart) was such a standout. I’m already a fan of his vibe. There were a few parts that were a little frustrating, but I soon got over that.

I'm eager to see where the Weston storylines go next and who will feature in the next book, but the waiting game is real... The audiobooks aren’t out yet, and I don’t think the full written versions have dropped either. Still, if this first installment is anything to go by, it’ll be well worth the wait.

that was...spicy lol.
genuinely loved lockhart/hart and sadie, and i really appreciate that their relationship problems weren't silly and meaningless. i also appreciate that although it was insta lust, it wasn't insta love. super quick and fun read and looking forward to more of this series.
