SO FREAKING SAD! But also so riveting and interesting. Learned some things about Chinese history, language, and culture. Made me feel better about my own childhood too.

I have had this book in my bookshelf for a few years and finally got around to reading it. I don't know really what to make of this. it's hard to think you're own parents would hate you so much. I came from s loving household and could never picked my dad and mom treating me poorly.
