Suzanne Collins really knows how to write. I knew how this story ended and I was still in suspense the entire time. She's great and dropping little clues that are collect into one big mic drop. Everything from 

Plutarch showing Katniss the watch to Beetee and Wiress showing Katniss how to spot a forcefield to Finnick saying that he deals in secrets.

It all adds up into a masterpiece of a story. I think there are times where the writing veers a little more YA and I think it can take away from the graphic and brutal nature of the story. It had the telltale mark of a good book for me which is that I couldn't stop thinking about it when I wasn't reading it. I'm excited to go into Mockingjay.

Totalnie, TOTALNIE nie zgadzam się z opinią, że Katniss jest irytująca! To jasne, że żywi uczucia wobec Gayle'a, przecież znają się na wylot od lat; to jasne, że żywi uczucia do Peety - nikt tak jak on nie rozumie, co przez co przeszła na arenie. Moim zdaniem nie ma tu nic naciąganego, na boga, ona ma siedemnaście lat! Give the girl a break:D

Kolejna część "Igrzysk...", kolejne pozytywne zaskoczenie. Nie tak zapamiętałam tę książkę przed siedmioma laty. Świetnie wykreowani bohaterowie, niebanalny język, nieoczywiste rozwiązania fabularne. Relacje między bohaterami, wyjątkowość każdego dystryktu, sekrety czające się w kąciku oka poza zasięgiem wzroku, nagle wyskakujące z cienia tuż przed zaskoczonym czytelnikiem... Uwielbiam wyobraźnię Suzanne Collins, to, jak tworzyła nowy świat pełen brutalności na podwalinach starego jest iście imponujące.
