I really liked this one!!
A very interesting storyline, good and well rounded characters, amazingly written.
I'm getting my hopes up for the rest of the series.
If you like to try and solve the mystery, I strongly recommend this one!

okay:
i read this bc i read number 11 of series and liked it. are all of them about sexual violence though??? i thought it would be like various different crimes and i liked will amanda amd sarah enough and tbh e writing was captivating to give all these books a chance

i don’t like how all the twists were revealed extremely early, michael should have been more evil in thought his narration was soooo diff to even the normal thoughts he has why is he unreliable narrator when literally the only reason he is is for a cheap gasp from the audience that lasts like one page. i understand keeping it a twist but at least make him hate his wife more or have like sinister trains of thought and revealing his identity much later in a way that didn’t have me know michael was woody three chapters before the reveal would have been better imo

angie/ruby reveal was fine i guess just like what would have happened if he paid and also like and??? it really doesn’t make a difference

ANGIE makes me so angry. constantly complaining about how her stripper clothes make her feel bad bc of how men treat her and constantly being in stripper clothes even when she doesn’t need to be like girl throw on a sweatshirt idk
i understand her and wills relationship and how they aren’t good for each other, or more like why angie is horrible for will, but they really over killed that whole explanation and left me not wanting them together?? so like if you wanna leave the door open leave it open but you slammed it repeatedly on my face

speaking of- the “gore” i guess of this book is insane like i was in pain reading it

justice for john

also everyone is just being constantly sexually assaulted is wild like can we have one person not be violated- it was too much like i guess their positions warrant it but still it feels like a little life where everyone wants to rape everyone which i feel like is not the case likeee huhhhh

john never got a second opinion lawyer?? why did his mom trust lydia so much like if she wanted him free so bad shouldn’t she have spent more to get second opinions it’s not like she’s poor

will is so cutie like big man little dog and also him pining for angie the whole time while she sleeps around with pedos and murderers was wild. he’s adorbs tho and i need him to find sarah pls thank you

back to angie she sucks and some of the things she was thinking had me like girl relaxxxxx
also she hit will so boooo

captivating but also very strange i finished it in like two days  i might read the rest for kicks
