i am late to the game but was looking for a good summer read. a lot of the reviews are blasting belly for being selfish and i agree - but also - idk… that’s exactly what i expect from a YA contemporary novel written in first person so not entirely floored by that.

i wouldve liked a bit more character development w the other characters - i think the show does this so well - but again. you can’t do a lot with first person so

I would have loved this at 15. But I’m not 15. I do think my teenage self would be Team Conrad. Adult me would have liked Cam for my niece or hypothetical daughter. But the book plot is basically about just a bunch of boys who noticed that a girl’s boobs came in.
