Genre : Chick-lit romance
Rating : ⭐⭐⭐
Settling down for a 24 hour flight to attend her best friend's wedding, the last thing Lucy anticipated was to receive a text about her boyfriend cheating on her. What follows is a painful, restless flight for an enraged and horrified Lucy, who is barely trying to keep her emotions in control with hundreds of strangers around her. ✨
I started this book with high hopes because of how interesting the synopsis was. While it started off really well and had me intrigued, I personally felt it went quite downhill
about halfway.
For me, a book is defined by its characters as much as by the synopsis. I wouldn't enjoy a book if the plot was great but the characters dull. Sadly, this fell short in that.
I despised the annoying, selfish, and hypocritical protagonist, whose entire plotline circulated around choosing between two men. That's all her character arc is made of.

Once again another great light read from Paige Toon. Perfect for fans of Lindsey Kelk specifically fans of I heart New York. I will say that a did feel that the second half of the book did feel a bit slow and took a while to get the next part of the plot going.
this book was really easy to read! I finished it within a week because of how easy it was written. I did read this book once many years ago and I remembered that I felt really grown up ready a story like this. in comparison with other books I have read it is not as great but the memories that come with it are very special to me :)
very cute and easy read!

Ik kon het niet wegleggen dus nu ben ik mijn volledige slaapritme kwijt
I really enjoyed this nice bit of escapism. It was written in 2007 so I did laugh to myself when reading YouTube described as something like 'the popular Internet website Youtube'. So funny to think it was once in its infancy and now it's in our everyday lexicon. Anyway that is the tiniest most minor point in the book!!
I enjoyed the story. It was fun, predictable but still enjoyable. I was willing Lucy to finally discover what an absolute arse her boyfriend actually was. I didn't even get annoyed at her for buying his bullshit, because to be honest I don't think she did buy it. She knew deep down he was a compulsive liar and actually I felt like she was quite empowered to use his lies to her advantage...let him go and spend time with his "friend" Zoe so that Lucy could use that time to figure out what she really wanted.
I'm enjoying reading Paige's back catalogue for light hearted, funny escapism and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into another of her titles.
