This book was terrible
The story was so repulsive and it wasn’t sexy
it was creepy
Dominic was obsessed with Sloane
At first I thought it was romantic but the more I read it was definitely obsession and there relationship was full controlling and coercive behaviour
I loved Sloane sister in law
She was so supportive even though she still was grieving her brother who passes away
Sloanes mother is a bitch!
And so selfish and understand why there relationship is strained and

🎤AUDIO VERSION🎤 ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 /5
narrated by Bianca Drew and Winston James
ARTICULATION - clean, clear, precise on most occasion.
BREATHING – controlled, volume is consistent, projection is appropriate.
DELIVERY – Female narrator has some issues with pausing/phrasing which does affect the delivery. Clear volume issues on occasions.
EYE BRAIN MOUTH CONTROL – some obvious mouth noise throughout.
CONSISTENT – good for both characters
ANALYSIS – story arc and characters delivered well.
CHARACTERISATION – somewhat suitable in tone, attitude, age, and accent.
SEPARATION- no obvious spillover between narrator and character.
INVESTMENT – emotionally connected to the story which lead to decent visualisation.
STORY
A sweet story. A good ear bud nibble. However, this book is very long for such a simple plot line. Could have had more twist and turns to engage the read. The narration was grating on occasions with phrasing issues.

I enjoyed the first half of this book a lot, couldn't put it down.
But I became increasingly bored with the story as it was wrapping up. I thought when everything was revealed, there'd be more of a sigh of relief but it was just underwhelming.
The fact that we find out about Nic's secret very early on in the book and get several callbacks to that night 12 years ago throughout the story, it didn't make much sense to make the reveal so melodramatic.
Kinda spoilery-ish******
It may just be me, but I don't like when the memory of a dead wife or husband is so central to the new love between the leads. Like with the rings. I wish the author showed that it was okay for Sloane to take off her rings once she accepted a future with Nic. That wouldn't mean she was pushing Eric's memory away. The ending just seemed convenient and a little cheesy.
