I liked it , it just took me a long time to get through. I kind of felt like there was something missing that I couldn’t quite put my finger on with the plot! I’m gonna finish the series and I’m confident I’ll grow more fond.

I love the black love featured in this book and Dominic’s character was written well but I found the book got quite repetitive and I started losing interest quickly. I felt the author slowed down on character development and focused more on the smut, which no doubt was great, but it was just page after page of it. After a while I would skip ahead to look for dialogue or anything interesting happening with the characters. A great and quick read.

Very good book but a very long book. There were times I thought the story was wrapping up but I was still at about 40% into the book. Classic enemies to lovers trope which is fun and I enjoy a duel timeline story as well. I will say that I listened to the audio version and the female narrator sounded like a robot and it took me out every time she was speaking. I would have rather the male narrator do the whole thing and maybe I would have enjoyed it a little bit more.

I swore up and down that I would never read this book because it seemed too messy but I. ate. this. up. I ended up reading the Power of Illusion by J.L Seegars first because I saw it had nothing to do with the New Haven world, but I absolutely loved it and I decided to give Restore Me a try. I have read more from this series but I still think about Dominic and Sloane to this day. I will eventually review Chris and Mallory's story but there was just something about the enemies to lovers that had me hooked to Dom and Sloane vs Mal and Chris
