Besides the awful female narrator, I really enjoyed this one. Although I knew what would happen in the end, my sappy tail still cried. It really was a good story. I would suggest reading the book instead of audio.

2.5/5- Overall not impressed. I did not hate it.

This story was captivating at first because you are thinking these two just shouldn't be sneaking around. Sloane just needed to be touched, but it is clear that Dominic wanted a little more. Of course they fall in love (not a huge fan of the insta-love). They were spending every minute together. I hated that they were so consumed with each other physically. Like damn is sex the only thing you two have in common? No TV show, no hobbies? And I love spice, but after the umpteenth sex scene, it just gave soft porn. I was skipping through the scenes in the end. We get it! The sex is good, but what else?! WHERE'S THE PLOT! The little bit of story we got in between was worthwhile though. I wish we got more drama from Sloane and her family. I wished Mama and Mal wasn't so understanding and gave a little side-eye to the situation but then come around. And are we not going address how Dominic been so obsessed with this lady since the first day they met in college 12 years ago to where he got that date tatted on his body even though she ends up with his best friend? That would have been some good plot!

I will say, though this book was somewhat beautifully written, it was also cringy as hell. I wanted to rip my ears off every time Dominic said "Angel". Like damn use her name. And J.L Seegars knows this book could have been cut in half if she wasn't putting so much details into the porn. At the 12 hr mark, I was checking out and hoped more plot was going to develop, but nope. Just her orgasms.

The ending kinda lost me, felt rushed. Overall great read very intense. Also I don’t know how I feel about this trope… couldn’t get over the whole dead husband best friend hump… i still feel like it’s weird but that’s just me

This was everything and more! Restore Me is a beautifully written love story that completely pulled at my heart. I felt every emotion, and the depth of Sloane and Dom’s connection was undeniable. Their journey wasn’t perfect, but it was raw, real, and powerful. I loved how their bond was rooted in friendship, history, and genuine love—they were absolutely fated mates. This book touched me in so many ways, and I know their story will stay with me forever. I’m so excited to continue the series and see where it goes next!

Sloane and Dominic are loyal to a fault. Dominic honored Eric throughout college and marriage. Sloane kept to her vows…the end, period. Sloane’s insecurities were trying at times and the lack of communication at their age is just a waste of time. However, I will be continuing with the series as everyone says it gets better.
