This book would've been better marketed as YA. The prose and banter between the characters is childish and I would have probably loved it when I was younger, but instead I just repeatedly grimaced for two hours before giving up entirely.

Fun adventure but I thought some of the plot points were obvious and didn’t love the way it wrapped up, but overall enjoyed!

Fun action-filled adventure!

Writing and plot were okay. Both of them were things I've seen before but that's alright.
I didn't feel like the payoff/epilogue really felt fully justified

I just lost interest with this. Might have been me, not the book.

I really enjoyed this book. It is about friends, family, and love but doesn’t shy away from the complexity of each. Some of the plot twists I was able to predict and maybe it twisted and turned one too many times, but it came to a satisfying and interesting ending. One pet peeve I have is when one character in a book knows vital information without realizing it, but we as readers know how important it is and if they would just tell someone things would be a lot better. This book has a bit of that, but it did not by any means ruin the book. If you like scifi space operas I think this is worth a read! Would love to read a more ambitious series from this author!
