Throughout this story, characters and plot were developed until the climax at the end. Most questions were answered, yet there is still space for a spin off or final development of the characters.
At the end, I still had some questions about Syhl Shallow and Emberfall, and how the political system would work. What would happen to some other characters outside of being an "advisor".

Bleh! Boring, lackluster, flat and all of the other synonyms for those words you can find. The first in this series really captured me, the second was disappointing, and this was certainly no redemption. Can’t quite give it one star just because I don’t completely regret reading it and I certainly can’t say I wasted my time, but I’m not going to be rushing to recommend this.
