Overall, a satisfying conclusion. There's setup for #4, but I'm happy to stop with this one.

Actually, it’s a 3.5 mostly because as everyone says, it feels really rushed at the end and there are too many loose ends I wish we had had some more information about it. It feels like there’s another book coming about the Political issues left in each kingdom.

It's a slight improvement over the last book but the same issue plagues this one as the last: the entire plot could be resolved if Grey and Rhen just had a candid conversation, instead of all the unnecessary melodrama. It is simply impossible to believe that after spending an "eternity" together, that they would not have forged a close relationship. If we do the math... assuming 1 month minimum for a season and 3 months maximum... 200ish times... Grey and Rhen spent somewhere between 16-50 years together, which is more than most people's marriages these days.
I also didn't care for Grey and Lia Mara's relationship - it felt like a knockoff version of Rhen and Harper's - I honestly skimmed most of their chapters towards the end.
I also don't understand howLia and Grey, two inexperienced people, are fit to rule over two kingdoms - these two should have yielded and stepped down .

I also don't understand how
After a promising start, this series ended up being very average.
I felt like books 2 and 3 would have been better off heavily edited and condensed into 1 book- because they were pretty similar in structure and plot.
There were a few good moments of action in book 3, but overall it wasn’t a great read.

Was this better than A Heart So Fierce and Broken? Yes.
Did this book try to fix everything that was wrong in A Heart So Fierce and Broken? Also yes.
A Vow So Bold and Deadly tries its best to explain why Rhen and Harper were so out of character in the second book, which is unfortunate as it bogs down the first half of book. I still don't understand why we didn't get their perspectives in the sequel. Lia Mara's POV was so pointless. In fact, her whole character is so pointless. She's supposed to be a queen, but she cries over everything and can't make any decisions without Grey.
Another issue I have with this series: Grey and Lia Mara's relationship. It doesn't make sense! How does Grey fall in love with her? Why does he fall in love with her? Somebody explain this to me.

I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book, when in fact it's only been just over a year. It was definitely worth the wait. This review will have slight spoilers for the first and second books in this trilogy.
So this is the final book in a trilogy that I have absolutely adored, and I had extremely high expectations for this. I’m very happy to report that I got literally everything I wanted from this ending and those last few chapters were so satisfying. This whole book made me feel things, from happiness to sadness, to fearing for the characters' safety and some bits even made me laugh because these characters can be sassy as anything sometimes. I did actually expect this book to make me cry for most of the story, however it wasn't until the last 60 or so pages that I actually started crying, and then so much happened that I practically didn't stop until the end.
I've loved these characters from the beginning and although they make some questionable decisions (I'm only looking at you Rhen) they are all such incredible characters. I feel like there wasn't enough oh Lia Mara in this book, but what we did get from her I loved seeing her find her place as Queen of Syhl Shallow. We did however see a fairly big change in Grey and I was 100% here for that change, it only solidified the fact of him being my favourite character even more. I also really enjoyed seeing the how the relationship between Lia Mara and Grey, and also the relationship between Harper and Rhen both progressed throughout this book. During the events of A Heart So Fierce and Broken I did actually begin to dislike Rhen, and then for most of this book I still disliked him, but as things started to unravel I began to see deeper into the reasons why he was acting how he had been and I was more understanding. However, by the end of the book I feel like he finally grew a spine and, in my eyes at least, he redeemed himself from his actions in the second book. There is still a long way to go for Rhen, the ending did touch on that a little, but I can't say anything more than that without going into spoiler territory, so I will leave it there.
All in all this series was incredible, and in my opinion only got better as it went on, this third installment in the Cursebreakers series is definitely my favourite of the three and it is a series I will reread many times.

2.5/5
