4.5 rounded down. Fast paced and intense. This book had me thinking I had it all figured out but I was wrong! I love it when that happens. If it hadn’t been for one plot move, that I found particularly disturbing and almost had me quit reading, this would have been a full 5 stars.

His & Hers was a great book, with an ending I never saw coming! The story is told from two perspectives—His and Hers. In a small British town, a murder occurs, and both Jack, a detective, and Anna, a news anchor, are drawn into the investigation. As the plot unfolds, they both become suspects, and the connection between them is revealed.

Anna is removed from her job as a presenter of the BB 1 pm news and ends up as a reporter instead - in her hometown, to where she never wants to return. However, there is a murder and it will be big news. Her demented and confused mother causes concern and needs attention. What is more worrying, the murder that turns to murders, seems to be deeply connected to the past Anna wants to forget.

This was brilliant. Fascinating, interesting characters, brilliantly construed motive. As with all of this type of books, I kept exploring different possibilities for the perpetrator. I had read in another review that "never in a million years would I have guessed the murderer" - and well, no, me neither! I thought I was right, and then, at the very end - turns out I wasn't (so smart after all).

I felt that the author took the big reveal a step further than they should have. Thar aside, it was a good read that kept me engaged all the way through.

Holy crap! There is no other way to describe the ending to this book. I thought I had figured out the twist so many times. And even when you think the author finally tells you what is going on, you get thrown for another loop! I love Alice Feeney and everything she writes! This lives up to all my expectations and more.

Twisty!
