I’m such a fan of Alice, but this book is my favorite of hers thus far. I naively thought I had the murderer pegged, but I was so wrong. Delightful manipulations and twists with each page.

Honestly found this one a bit hard to get into despite being a good story as the characters were a bit boring. Good twist ending though!
Best book I’ve read in a good while! I loved the writing style and was gripped from the very start. Pretty much every paragraph is a cliff hanger so you never want to put the book down!
The story was smart, a whole ‘who done it’ and I changed my mind every chapter who I thought it was and still got it wrong haha. The ending was a surprise but I really liked it.
I feel so bad on cat jones, all that trauma as a kid, to Anna taking her job and her husband cheating on her with Anna to then die!
Also all these poor kids losing their parents like what tf happens to cat’s kids.
Overall this is a DARK story, but it was gripping. Definitely up there as one of my favourite books.

I can see why someone optioned this to be a series. I enjoyed it very much and was kept guessing right up to the end.
