Good one! One star off for some unanswered questions of “how”

The cats

4.5 stars! What a great whodunnit with a wonderfully surprising twist at the end. It starts out and you have a handful of characters that you suspect could be the murderer. Further along you narrow it down to a couple, or maybe even just one you’re sure is it. The reveal in the last five pages is totally unexpected (at least for me)! To make it even better, I was interested in each and every character’s storylines all along the way.

The ending (specifically the twist) leaves some questions about some unimportant events earlier in the book, but nothing worth dwelling on. I will be adding Alice Feeney to the list of authors I want/need to read more of.

I enjoy her writing style. The premise was good. The ending was a bit hokey.

SO good, especially in audiobook. this book kept you guessing and blaming absolutely everyone. it took me a while to figure out who actually “dunnit” but i got it just before the reveal. such an enjoyable and twisty read!

would be a 5 ⭐️ but i had a lot of questions at the end. still, i would definitely recommend picking this up!

It is a suspense thriller which is being told by two point of views.

Ana is a tv presenter, when is to asked to cover a murder that happened in a small town outside of London, she goes if only to keep her job. The plot thickens when she discovers that she knew the victim.

Jack is a detective, he lives in the town, but not by choice.
When a body is discovered in the woods he decided to keep the fact that he knew the victim a secret. When the evidence starts pointing at him he is more determined than ever to uncover the mystery.

This is one of those book where you think everyone and no one is responsible at the same time. The ending was so unexpected, I was suprised in the best way.

I did figure out some of the twists but others remained a mystery until the very end. It was incredibly unpredictable and had me guessing until the last page.
It was very well written, with lots of drama without being tiring.

I read this book in one sitting, if that doesn't say it all I don't know what does.
