Was really looking forward to the sequel of the family upstairs, one of my favourite Lisa Jewell books. Whilst I enjoyed the follow up to book one’s storyline, I did seem to get confused on a few occasions between the characters and trying to follow the timeline of events (between chapters.) Some of the story felt a little predictable but a good read none the less. I’d have preferred to have read this book directly after the first in the series so the story was fresh in my mind. 3 stars

I wish I had read the family upstairs more recently, unfortunately, I couldn’t remember much of it. Although reading this book reminded me of certain aspects of the first one, I think it would be better to read these one after the other. Nonetheless, it was still a really good book with in-depth characters and an interesting storyline. Lisa Jewell is one of my favorites and continues to be!
