I didn’t like it…

I’m glad the story ended and had a good conclusion, but it was boring to read. At first, I was reading about a guy looking for love and acting like a loser. Then suddenly it was about the police for some reason. And Lucy left with the kids to look for her brother. Everything felt all over the place, like there was a lot of unnecessary stuff.

Still, the story didn’t have any plot holes or unanswered questions — maybe that was the point. But it was boring. I liked the first book so much. When everything was revealed there, I honestly didn’t know what could even be written next that would still be interesting. I guess I should’ve expected this, since the most was already wrapped up in the last book. Still, it’s sad I didn’t enjoy it.

An excellent sequel to "The Famly Upstairs," with many twists and turns. I would highly recommend reading "The Family Upstairs" before reading this one. The reader sees how several of the characters move on with their lives and some new characters are introduced adding to the complexity of the novel and of life in general.
