Honestly most of these stars are probably for the narrator of the audiobook. I had a hard time focusing on anytime but his beautiful accent, I’m obsessed
Anyway the story is a bit creepy but also kinda wholesome. I’ve never LOVED the movie bc I was so scared of it growing up but I wanted to give the book a try and I liked it. The writing is great too!!

I relate to Scrooge as I’m an ex-asshole as well. I’ve had a tradition of watching the Patrick Stewart version of A Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve since 2011. This year, instead, I decided to finally read it! It was just as good if not better than the P.Stew movie. I’ll be either reading this or watching Scrooge Picard every year from here until I’m a ghost of Christmas past.
My favorite book of all time. It’s heartfelt, it’s scary, it’s exciting, it’s thoughtful, and it even has some humor. It’s everything I want and it delivers a message of kindness that I fully agree with. I read it every year.
Actually readable! And even...good! Only attempt at Dickens I've ever finished (so far).
