Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the e-ARC. Neil Gaiman is one of my all time favorite authors, and I was so excited to see what stories were going to be included in this collection. Including stories from the start of his career to some of his most recent, The Neil Gaiman Reader is a fantastic collection. Perfect for long time fans, who are familiar with is work or for someone picking up one of his stories for the very first time. The short stories included were selected by a vote from readers, meaning that there is a fantastic range of stories included. Also included are excerpts from five of Gaiman's novels,, perfect snippets of story to entice those who may not have read them and great reminders for those that have. The Neil Gaiman Reader is a collection of short stories not to be missed.

52 pieces of Neil Gaiman literature read by Neil Gaiman!!!! There is no one I would prefer over Neil Gaiman reciting his own works. If you like the man, you need this in your collection.

Not really sure how to answer these auto Q's from Storygraph, but I am so pleased to have Cassandra, to have the creepy stalkers statue that preceded Edward Cullen, to have a tribute to Bradbury that makes me literally cry with every reread, the hilarious old lady who loves Harlequins and fancy antiques at thrift shops, and "The Problem with susan" which reminds me of an essay gaiman once wrote and I cannot find...

What can I say other than Neil Gaiman can keep me entertained and rooting for our main characters; making me walk alongside, for the length of the stroies. Two of the stroies I couldn't finish, but at a collection this size; that isn't bad at all.

I really enjoyed the book. I contains his short stories, and I found it a great way to get into his writing. Some of the stories are longer but some are only a page or two, yet all of them have something special

One of my favorite authors of all time. I thought I'd be chewing on this for a long time because it's a very long book, and it's a compilation of short stories. It seemed like the kind of thing I'd pick up and put down in between other books. Not so. Every time I wanted to read(listen), I went straight for this and ignored all other books. I didn't love or even like all of the stories, but the ones I loved, I REALLY loved.

I recommend listening to his writing as audiobooks narrated by himself. He's a spectacular narrator, the best I've ever heard. The audiobook is 27+ hours long, and I took it down in a matter of weeks. Wishing there was more. Will probably immediately pick up another Gaiman book.
