this was so unexpected because i really enjoyed the first two books in this series but i was really struggling with this book.
i was kinda liking the darker tones throughout this book but i just didn't feel as connected with the characters as i have previously.
i also guessed who the DT killer was immediately from when he was introduced so that took me out of the story.
but then pip goes and kills him instead of running away, and that was where i dnfed because i was just not vibing with the story and the characters did not hit the mark.
however i may come back to this one day when i'm vibing with reading more.

This book definitely went places I did NOT expect it to go, and it was great to actually get Pip's perspective from a crime as it was playing out rather than an old case that she was trying to solve. It was a wild ride and I so desperately wanted a more satisfying ending, but overall this series was AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The timelines made no sense, how did we not hear about a serial killer in this town till the third book? How is she still not in college? At least place a year or two between books. I simply don’t believe the span of these 3 books could occur in 1 year.
