oh my god. what an ending!!

Literally couldn’t think of a better way to round out this trilogy. Everything truly felt so full circle.

Something i really loved from this book was pip’s emotional journey with ptsd, the whole storyline made me feel physically sick cause i fully understand everything she was going through, flashbacks and all. safe to say i love pip.

also yes i was quite literally sobbing for a solid 30 minutes at the end there. (holly jackson that was cruel)

Rating would be higher if Pip would have just

called the police after the what happened with Jason

, everything after that point felt like a series of stupid decisions that I don't believe were in line with Pip's character... I was fully on board with her decision to

use the hammer on him, but from there she should have called the police and told them about DT... I'm glad the book itself acknowledged that her decision would have just left Billy to rot in prison for a crime he didn't commit, but, from a storytelling perspective, I honestly think he shouldn't have ended up being cleared. If Pip conceals her involvement in Jason's death, she should have to live with the consequence of removing an innocent man's last hope of freedom

the whole third act felt like banging my head against a brick wall 🙄 but maybe that's just me 🤷‍♀️
