HOLY SHITTTTTT!!!!!
THIS IS THE BEST BOOK OUT OF THE WHOLE SERIES.
like seriously????
I WAS SCARED BY THE END OF PART 2. AND I COULDNT STOP LISTENING (i was listening to the audiobook) UNTIL THE END.
and i KNEW when i picked this book up that eventually the main character was gonna murder someone bc hello???? the series title??? duhhh. and of COURSE she’d be the type of person who’d get away with murder!!
PIP AND RAVI??? RELATIONSHIP GOALS??? HELLO????
i don’t want to have a partner or boyfriend or spouse if he isn’t willing to help me cover up a murder.
pls if anyone had any book recommendations where the main couple are ride-or-die and would literally help each other cover up a murder, TELL ME!!!!!
i only had one gripe with this book:
WHY DIDN’T PIP AND RAVI PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER WHEN READING ANDIE’S EMAIL???
it was OBVIOUS and AS CLEAR AS DAY TO ME that she was talking about her dad!!!!
why did they think it was somebody else??? like dan da silva?? made no sense to me.
anyway. this book was perfection. perfect. perfect YA crime thriller mystery!!!!
even better if you experience the audiobook version like i did alongside the book version!!
——-
lmao im reading the goodreads reviews rn
and apparently a lot of people disliked the fact that she killed jason?
tbf if she didn’t i wouldn’t have liked the book nearly as much.
bc the whole thing about her being so good at true crime is for her to be able to get away with it methinks.
it’s literally the title duhhhhhh.
like.
why’s the word “a good girl” and “guide” and murder” all in the same phrase if it’s not gonna be tied back to her finally using her knowledge to kill someone who TOTALLY DESERVED IT BTW.
people are weird.
i guess the people who like the book are people who enjoy twisted stories and don’t feel so high and mighty when they read a book. like me.
it’s so weird when people like the character of a book bc they relate to them so much but then after the character goes through something traumatizing and changes they hate them bc they can’t relate to them anymore??
DUHHHH OBVIOUSLY!!!
you haven’t gone through half the things they went through!! of course you can’t relate to them anymore!! they’re not you!!
i didn’t like pip that much in book 1 and 2 tbh. she was…nosy and overstepping boundaries a lot of the times.
but in this book?? she’s SO UNAPOLOGETICALLY HERSELF that her nosiness and overstepping just make a more interesting story instead of making me dislike her lol.
and yes. i fully expected her to actually murder someone in the FIRST BOOK EVEN. i totally thought the first book which is called “a good girl’s GUIDE to murder” would be about her teaching us aka the readers how to get away with murder. turns out i got what i was signing up for in book 3.
needless to say, this is my favorite book out of the whole bunch.
i’m probably gonna read more books by holly jackson.
i’ve had a disdain for YA books for quite some time now, but hers are the only ones i can stomach nowadays.
