- Medium read (6 hours)
- I hated Nigel and the use of 'flamboyant gay' stereotypes. I also disliked the inconsistencies (both physical and characteristic differences) between the movie and the book.
- I loved Andy's wit and various relationships. Her friends are more reasonable in the books and the ending makes more sense. Weisberger's writing style is fresh and makes me want to read more books by heYou could sense the effort and comprehension in the character development and traits.

You can read it if you want, it’s not a “bad” book, but it’s not really a “good” book either.

Moderate: Eating disorder
No one explicitly has an eating disorder, however the narrator constantly mentions height/weight and compares her own body with everyone around her. Most characters engage in very disordered behaviours (skipping meals, etc.) and none of it is frowned upon. In fact, these behaviors seem encouraged all throughout the book.gamora_zen1's review against another edition
