Maybe it’s because my last book was also Narnia, but I had a really hard time to get through this book… did not really enjoy it. 2 ⭐️

Every time I read this book, I like it more and more. I only wish it was longer!
Read February 12-14, 2016
Read in 2015 - I can't decide if I like this one as much as The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The adventures are captivating, especially when Lucy meets the magician and when Caspian and crew approach Aslan's country. But I'm not sure it imparts as much wisdom as the first book.

Funnily, this book has one of the characters in the whole chronicles that annoys me the most, but at the same time may be one of my favourite books out of all the Narnia ones. In this book we get to explore more about the Narnia world and magic impregnates every chapter. The action is well paced so the story doesn’t feel boring, and I found the plot of this book to be more interesting and less basic, as it happens, in my opinion, in the previous books. I wish Lewis made a better use of the characters, by exploring their fears and motivations and relationships more in deep, since sometimes they feel flat, but I can understand why he doesn’t dwell much in those aspects since this is a kid’s book and a quite short one. With all I found this book quite entertaining.
